The candidates(click here), who have qualified in Written Test and Physical Efficiency Test are directed to report for medical examination, in phases, at the venue and time(click here) indicated prior to forming of panel.

 The candidate should report with 3 Pass-port size photographs and original documents in support of (1)date of birth, (2) educational certificate.

             This Medical Examination does not confer any right or guarantee for empanelment or employment in the Railways.

Candidates, who have been declared suitable in Written Examination, held on 24.02.08 for appointment to Group-D post against Physically Handicapped Quota of CLW/CRJ, have been called for Verification of Documents as per the details given below :

Verification of Documents will be done at the office of Railway Recruitment Cell, 56, C.R.Avenue, Kolkata - 700 012 (Crossing of C.R. Avenue and B.B.Ganguly Street). The reporting time for candidates is 11:00 hrs. Candidates must appear on the allotted date and time, otherwise they will forfeit their chance for consideration for empanelment.

Candidates must bring the following documents along with them at the time of Verification of Documents :

1. Upper portion of Call Letter for Written Examination (Original)
2. Age proof certificate and Educational Qualification Certificates
3. Certificate of Physical Disability (original) and one attested copy.
4. Recent passport size photograph - 1 copy
5. Caste Certificate (Original) and one attested copy.
6. Other certificates, if any, submitted with the application

PH QUOTA OF CLW/CRJ (NOTIFICATION No. : 0107) 
PHYSICALLY HANDICAPPED CANDIDATES

Based on the performance in the Written Examination, held on 24-2-2008, for recruitment to Gr. ‘D’ post against Physically Handicapped Quota of Chittaranjan Locomotive Works, Chittaranjan, the following candidates have been provisionally found suitable for being called for verification of Documents, which will be held shortly.   The candidates may keep themselves in readiness for verification of Documents.

In case, after verification of Documents, sufficient candidates are not found suitable for empanelment, further candidates from the Merit List may be called.

1. The candidates called for Physical Efficiency Test(PET) at RPF Ground, Liluah (Howrah Division) may please note the following changes :-

 A)    Change of Dates

PET scheduled for 05/06/08, 06/06/08 & 07/06/08 will now be held on 10/06/08, 11/06/08 & 12/06/08 respectively. The PET to be held on 09/06/08 will be held on the same date (09/06/08) but at the venue given below :-

 B)     Change of venue –

The Center of Howrah Division for PET to be held on 09/06/08, 10/06/08, 11/06/08 & 12/06/08 is changed from RPF Ground, Liluah to-

 2. The candidates called for Physical Efficiency Test(PET) for at Eastern Railway Sports Complex, Gholsapur, Behala, (Sealdah Division) Kolkata may please note that PET which was to be held on 05/06/08 & 06/06/08 will now be held on 10/06/08 & 11/06/08 at the same time and venue, as has already notified on 06/06/08.

3. Free travel authority issued to SC/ST candidates will remain valid for the new dates of PET.

4. There is no change in dates of PET at Asansol & Malda.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF DATES P.E.T.

 The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) of candidates who qualified in the Written Examination for recruitment to Gr.D posts (Notification No. 0106) will be held from 30th May-2008 (Friday) onwards.

Call letters to eligible candidates have been despatched. Those who do not receive the Call Letter by 27^th May-2008 may contact RRC-ER office on phone no, 033-2255-5082 or 2255-5081.

The results of candidates found successful in the Written Examination , held on 04.11.07, 18.11.07, 2.12.07, 16.12.07 and 06.01.08 for recruitment to Gr. ‘D’ posts in Eastern Railway and Chttaranjan Locomotive Works, Chittaranjan was published on 19.04.08. 

The successful candidates are required to appear in Physical Efficiency Test (PET) to be held at the under mentioned Centres and on the dates mentioned below (check result to know your PET Date and Venue). Candidates must appear at the under mentioned centres and dates at 06:30 hrs( 06:30 A.M.) sharp. If a candidate fails to appear on the allotted date and time he will not be given any other opportunity to appear at PET and will not be considered for empanelment.

The Criteria for Physical Efficiency Test is as follows-
a) Male Candidates -
i)Should be able to run a distance of 1500 meters in 7 min. in one chance,   
ii)Should be able to lift and carry 35 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 min in one chance without putting the weight down.

a) Female Candidates - 
i)Should be able to run a distance of 400 meters in 4 min. in one chance,   
ii)Should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for a distance of 100 meters in 2 min in one chance without putting the weight down.

No marks will be awarded for P.E.T. However, completing the P.E.T.(both events) is compulsory.

Only those candidates will be allowed to participate in “lifting and carrying of weight” who have successfully completed the “running” round.

The original documents of the candidates will be verified at the time of PET. Hence all the candidates must bring the following documents at the time of PET

(1) Original copy of educational qualification certificate, Date of Birth certificate (or any other valid proof in support of Date of Birth), Caste Certificate and any other certificate on the basis of which age or other relaxation was sought.

(2) Photocopy of all the documents mentioned in preceding para(No.1) above, duly attested by authorised gazetted/govt. officer .

(3) One recent passport sized self photograph of the candidate.

(4) Lower part of the Call Letter( Candidate’s copy) for the written examination.

If a candidate does not receive call letter by 27.05.2008, the Office of Sr. Divisional Personnel Officer (Sr.D.P.O.) in Divisional Railway Manager’s (DRM) office of the Centre where his/her PET is scheduled to be held may be contacted. For example, if a candidate’s PET is scheduled to be held at ASANSOL and if he/she does not receive the call letter by 27.05.2008, the office of Sr. DPO in DRM’s Office at Asansol may be contacted on 28.05.2008 or onwards.

Candidates should note that any attempt at impersonation/ malpractices/unfair means in PET will disqualify the candidate from all future examinations to be held by RRC-ER and associate recruitment agencies of Indian Railways. Such candidates are also liable for prosecution under law. Any type of canvassing or direct /indirect pressure from outside person/agency will invite suitable punitive action.

Candidates are required to make their own arrangement for lodging/boarding . He/She may have to come prepared to stay for additional one/two days, if required.

Before participation in PET Candidates must ensure themselves that they are physically and otherwise fit to join the PET to avoid any injury/damage/loss either to themselves or others during the PET on account of their inherent physical disability.

RRC-ER will not be responsible / liable for any loss/injury/damage caused to the candidates during the PET.

RRC-ER has not appointed any agents/agency for acting on its behalf. Candidates are warned not to get guided by any person or agency. Candidates should rely only on instruction / information available on RRC-ER website (www.rrcer.com) or Eastern Railway website (www.easternrailway.gov.in).
